Here's another installment of the Dj RyB Hit Pop series that I put together over the weekend. I was motivated/bored on Friday night so I also put together Hip Hop Hits Volume 61 that I'll be releasing shortly. NEW ISH!
It seems like everything on the radio and in the clubs these days is super uptempo so it keeps getting easier to put together these type of mixes. I've been getting a lot of positive feedback on iTunes and elsewhere that people love the Hit Pop series because they use it at the gym for their workouts but can also play it at night during a party. Versatility baby!

I know it's long overdue but I finally had the chance to put together the Dj RyB MJ Tribute Mix I've been promising for the past few weeks. I went over the song selection multiple times and ultimately decided on an uptempo dance mix from the King of Pop.
This is my first mix in a few months and I was a little rusty so forgive me for a few mess ups here and there. I do it one time on the fly so it's not always going to be perfect but I'm still happy with it.
This is only Volume 1 so I'll be following up with at least two more mixes to finish off the tribute to my man, Michael Jackson. I'm thinking about going with a more eclectic mix of hits for Volume 2 and a rare remix collection for Volume 3. I am definitely happy with the final outcome of this one. I am feelin' the collection of songs since these are some of my favorite tracks out right now, plus they all flow nicely and I the blends were all on point for the most part. I know. It's been awhile since I put out a new Dj RyB mix. Things have been a bit hectic since September so I haven't had much free time to put something together. I've been sitting on about 100 songs from the last 3 months or more so it's about time I put something out there for your listening pleasure. This is part 1 of 3 mixes that I have in the works ranging from Hip Hop, R&B and Hit Pop. I will have something new ready for you in the next few weeks.
I thought Dj RyB Hip Hop Hits Volume 59 came out pretty solid and I like it more each time I listen to it. Like I said, I haven't made a mix in months so I was a little rusty. As always, it's one time only on the mix. If I mess up, you'll hear it. I don't like to use any editing software like Pro Tools to clean it up like some DJ's do. I think that's cheating. I did add a few sound effects to clean up the parts I wasn't completely happy with but that's as far as I'll go.
Hopefully you like what I was doing on this mix. It's basically just a bunch of songs that I liked and I did my best to put them in some order and flow that made sense. Please leave some feedback and feel free to give me some ideas for future mixes.

This is one of the first really good mixes I did early on in my DJ career. This is from around 2000 or so (maybe earlier) and I just taught myself how to DJ about a year or two before that. This one of my favorite old school mixtapes that I put together 5 or more years ago. I did this on the fly one time, without any edits and it was still on point. I wish I could go back and clean up a few areas since my mixing skills have improved since then but it is what it is. This is the second CD of the Vegas Edition mixtapes that I put together last year. This one is a little less uptempo and has a lot of tracks that were just album cuts or remixes instead of the "singles" focus from volume 56.
